The Upcoming 2019 Honda Civic Will Add Major Safety Upgrades
After its major redesign for the 2016 model-year, there hasn’t been much that Honda has had to do to its impressive and wildly popular tenth-generation Honda Civic model.
But, there’s no such thing as perfection in the automobile world, so there’s always more that can be done.
The upcoming 2019 Honda Civic will offer a few small changes to the exterior, some updates to the interior, and an infotainment upgrade that will swap out the volume touch-slider for a physical knob. (A change that we’re seeing quietly spreading across the lineup.) The stylish Sport trim will also be available on a wider range of Honda Civic styles for 2019.
Another big upgrade for the upcoming 2019 Honda Civic will make it particularly appealing to families in Duluth and Atlanta: more standard safety features.
Honda Sensing Features
New for 2019–and following in the footsteps of a lot of its lineup siblings–the upcoming 2019 Honda Civic will offer a basic suite of Honda Sensing driver-assistance and safety features as standard. This will include:
- Forward collision warning
- Lane keeping assist
- Lane departure warning
- Adaptive cruise control
Reportedly, the headlights will also receive upgrades for the upcoming 2019 Honda Civic, so we can bet on great safety ratings–though official numbers aren’t out yet.
