Honda has redesigned the HR-V for its 2023 model. Thanks to Honda’s drive for success, the manufacturer has put out a sleeker, more stylish subcompact SUV. The previous HR-V satisfied many customers, but now, we’re even more excited as this new model hits the market. We know that there sometimes seems to be an endless number of small SUVs to choose from, so we want to make it crystal clear why the Honda HR-V is the right one for you. Instead of going from dealership to dealership to figure out what brand to buy, we want the only decision you make to be which version of the HR-V you want.

We are proud to have the Honda HR-V for sale here at Gwinnett Place Honda because we believe that this subcompact SUV can do it all. It has the grace of a sedan when you’re on tight city streets but the storage capacity of a larger SUV for when you want to pack in family and friends for a long trip. Most exciting, the HR-V comes in three different trims, so you can get the version that’s exactly right for your driving lifestyle.

Why the HR-V?

Before looking at the trims, let’s show you why the HR-V is such a stellar purchase. SUVs seem to be a dime a dozen today, we know. The competition is fierce. Yet, that doesn’t keep us up at night. We know that Honda always produces solid products.

The HR-V gives you outstanding fuel efficiency, which should be at the top of anyone’s list when looking for an SUV. Gas prices seem to fluctuate wildly by the day, and you never know what to expect when you drive up to the pump. Luckily, the fuel economy of the HR-V will help you keep a balanced budget. The EPA has rated the 2023 Honda HR-V for up to 28 MPG combined.[a] Honda has long earned customer loyalty thanks to its fuel-sipping vehicles, and the HR-V is no exception.

Each trim is equipped with the Honda Sensing suite. With this system, you can rest easy knowing you and your passengers are protected by a collection of advanced driver-assist technologies. The Collision Mitigation Braking System, for example, not only warns you of an incoming collision––it also begins the braking process so that you don’t lose any time as your foot moves from the gas pedal to the brakes.

All of the trims also come with a slew of color options. We know that versatility is absolutely key, so we’re happy to tell you that the 2023 HR-V is available in colors ranging from Nordic Forest Pearl to Milano Red to Modern Steel Metallic. Honda’s goal with the HR-V was to create a subcompact SUV that appealed to families and individuals. We fully believe it hit that goal as the 2023 HR-V has the looks a young, social person wants and the storage and safety families desire. Now, let’s take a look at how the three different trims can make this ride even more thrilling.

2023 HR-V LX

Honda recently revived the LX trims for some of its vehicles, including the 2023 HR-V. This is the base trim, but do not let that designation fool you. It still comes with a lot to love. It has automatic climate control, which allows you to keep the temperature consistent instead of managing it yourself while you drive. For infotainment, it also comes with a seven-inch touchscreen and a four-speaker 180-watt audio system.

The exterior has some neat touches, too. The LX trim comes with a roof spoiler that adds a dash of cool without being ostentatious. The 17-inch alloy wheels are also impressive and are a bit larger than some other subcompact SUVs. The alloy wheels are lighter than steel wheels, which adds an extra sense of command when you’re driving and gives the HR-V a nimble touch that makes navigating city roads a breeze.

2023 HR-V Sport

Take what we just said and add some more! The Sport trim is the middle trim for the 2023 HR-V. It has the same features as the LX, along with some more bonuses to make your SUV the envy of the block. Per its name, this trim gives the HR-V a sportier vibe, letting onlookers know you enjoy a fashionable ride and a bit of adventure. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels to add some showmanship to the SUV, along with a chrome exhaust finisher that catches the eye. There’s also rear privacy glass to complete the exterior with a sense of mystique.

Its interior has enviable features that let your passengers know they’re in a higher-end trim. The steering wheel and gear shifter are wrapped in leather, and the front seats are heated for when the weather turns brisk. The sound system gets an upgrade, too. Instead of four speakers, the HR-V Sport comes with six.

However, one underrated addition is an extra driver-assist feature: a Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert. We’ve all been the victim of a car in our blind spot. It’s not pleasant in the best of cases when we go to turn only to realize a car is right next to us. This warning system scans around your vehicle, letting you know if there’s a car to your left or right that you might not be able to see with the naked eye.

2023 HR-V EX-L

Now we come to the HR-V’s highest trim, the EX-L. This trim is not quite as athletic as the Sport but brings a higher sense of luxury. The EX-L comes with almost all of the Sport trim’s features and some special touches of its own. With the EX-L, you’ll get a power moonroof to provide a roomier feel to your ride. A long trip becomes more relaxing when the light from outside can shine into your HR-V, making it feel even more spacious than it already is. Combine that with the leather-trimmed seats, and you’ll feel like you’re flying first class.

The tech gets an upgrade, too. The touchscreen in the EX-L gets bumped up to a nine-inch display compared to the seven-inch screen in the LX and Sport. It also features an eight-speaker audio system, so you can feel like your favorite band is in the SUV with you. There’s one more great upgrade, though: the automatic climate control system has been upgraded to offer dual zones. This means you and your front passenger can enjoy different temperatures.

The EX-L also packs in a few more safety features in addition to the Blind Spot Information System. This trim comes with front and rear parking sensors and Low-Speed Braking Control, perfect for negotiating tight spaces. These elements will help improve any driver’s sense of command, but they’re especially good if you have younger drivers who could use an extra hand.
