Car and Driver Reviews the 2018 Honda Odyssey on Summer Road Trips
The editorial team at Car and Driver is known for their long-term testing of popular cars, trucks, and SUVs from all across the industry. In summer of 2017, the team had taken on a new Honda Odyssey to put it to the test over 40,000 miles.
A year, and 32,145 miles later, Car and Driver writers have a lot of positive things to share about it, especially for families who are looking for the best minivan for summer road trips.
While the Honda Odyssey is currently in its 2019 MY, recent minor updates to the minivan–or a lack thereof–indicate that the review of the 2018 MY is easily applicable to the new model-year as well.
Probably the biggest praise from Car and Driver for the 2018 Honda Odyssey is aimed at the comfort of the seats:
“Multiple drivers observed that they were comfortable behind the wheel for six or more hours at a time, while second-row passengers brooked no complaints about their accommodations, either, whether upright for sightseeing or reclined for napping.”
No surprises here–Honda dedicated a lot of time to making sure that all three rows of seating in the new generation of Honda Odyssey minivans would be supportive yet still plush, giving you a comfortable and relaxing ride even on those seven- or eight-hour hauls.
Editors also complimented the ease and convenience of the rear-seat entertainment system and the available in-car vacuum.
The 2019 Honda Odyssey is for sale now at Gwinnett Place Honda in Duluth–take advantage of a gorgeous summer day in Georgia, and swing by to take one for a test drive.
