The 2019 Honda Insight in Duluth is Redefining the Hybrid Sedan

No, this isn't the old Insight that you might remember from way back when--or, even from more recently. It wears the same name, but it comes with a whole new look. The all-new 2019 Honda Insight is cleaner and subtler than your typical hybrid, but it hides a stunningly intelligent powertrain inside. For 2019, trim levels include the 2019 Honda Insight LX, EX, and Touring.

A Signature Honda Interior

A lot about the 2019 Honda Insight's cabin will feel familiar--but that's a very good thing. Honda has taken everything that we love about models like the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord, and used them to create a unique, stylish, and comfortable interior. Due to its size, and the clever placing of hybrid batteries under the rear seats, the 2019 Honda Insight is expected to offer best-in-class passenger volume, and up to 15 cubic feet of trunk space. Features like heated leather seats and rain-sensing wipers are available on select trims.

Subtle Styling

In the new age of sharp corners and bulging LED lights, being modest and subtle isn't usually a virtue. But, when nearly all hybrid cars are jostling for attention with outlandish designs, it's refreshing to have a hybrid car that just looks like a car. The 2019 Honda Insight shares a chassis, wheelbase, and roofline with the new-gen Honda Civic, so it's built like your classic family four-door. Small touches though, like a mildly aggressive grille, give the new Honda Insight a personality of its own.

Tech and Standard Safety

The 2019 Honda Insight, in all of its subtlety, was not particularly concerned with modesty when it packed the cabin full of the latest technology, infotainment, connectivity, safety, and driver-assistance features. You can opt for a standard 7.0-inch display screen or 8.0-inch touchscreen; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on EX and Touring models; and you can even add an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot. A standard Honda Sensing system includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist System, and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines comes standard on every model.

Engine Performance and Eco-Friendly Features

The 2019 Honda Insight is a front-wheel drive hybrid sedan equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired to two electric motors and run on a lithium-ion battery. Combined, this sedan is good for an impressive 151 horsepower and 197 pound-feet of torque. Three driving modes--ECON/Sport/EV--let you customize the performance of your hybrid sedan to fit your needs. Fuel economy estimates are unconfirmed, but we're optimistic.
