Things Are Heating up Here in Duluth: Protect Your Car, Children, and Pets Accordingly!

With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner, the summer season is very nearly upon us here in Duluth, GA. Summer brings promises of warmer temperatures, and as the days heat up, your car will do the same.

Similar to the way in which we all need to be mindful to stay hydrated as it gets warmer outside so as to avoid overheating, there are certain steps and precautions we should all be taking as drivers to protect our vehicles in the balmier months ahead. Hot temperatures can be rough on your vehicle, so it's important to make sure your vehicle is caught up on any and all of its routine maintenance needs. It's not a bad idea for you to check things like your engine coolant on your own throughout the summer months so your engine won't be as prone to overheating.

Speaking of overheating, checking your vehicle's fluids isn't the only thing you should be mindful of as the seasons change. We here at Gwinnett Place Honda would like to issue a friendly reminder to drivers everywhere not to leave children or pets in the car during the summer for any amount of time. The inside of your car heats up incredibly quickly, and can get far hotter than the outside temperature. So keep children (and four-legged children!) safe and sound this summer.
